A zoom stereomicroscope combining optical performance, expandability and ergonomy.
The SMZ1000, one of Nikon's most advanced stereomicroscopes, incorporates a powerful combination of advanced microscope optics and ergonomic capabilities. With high NA objectives and exclusive Nikon illumination system, the SMZ1000 can handle some of the same advanced imaging techniques that compound instrument users have long enjoyed.

- 10:1 Zoom Ratio: Gives a total magnification from 4x to 480x
- High N.A. Objectives: A new series of objectives feature high N.A.'s and high resolving power
- Distortion Reduction: View stereoscopic images that appear undistorted in all theri brilliant, true-to-life colours
- Eyepiece Tube Inclination: Standard binocular eyepiece tube is inclined 20°, allowing you to observe samples without having to lean forward
- Eyepiece Tube Options: Optional low eye-level or tilting binocular eyepiece tube available
- Photographic Capability: Digital, 35mm, Analog and Digital video systems are all compatible
- Epi-Fluroescence Attachment: Allows easy observation of living cells under the fluorescence method such as GFP, switching between fluorescence and brightfield is quick and easy
- Episcopic Illuminator: Uses a 12V/100W fibre-optic light source to deliver bright illumination over the entire sample surface
- OCC Illumination System: Exclusive Oblique Coherent Contrast Illumination system delivers colourless and transparent samples to be observed in high relief.
- Focusing Unit: Has a coaxial coarse/fine-focusing unit that travels smoothly along the optical axis
- Diascopic Stands: Three models are available, each with a built-in power supply in a space-saving design
